


The cross up in the left corner is the Union Jack, which is their motherland England’s flag. The big star at the bottom, also named the Commonwealth Star, has one point for each state (6 states) and territory (2 territories) in Australia. The other 5 stars to the left are the Southern Cross which is to be seen from every point in the sky in Australia. On the second picture, you can see how many light years each star in the Southern Cross are from the earth, and what they are named. The last picture show us how the Southern Cross looks like in the universe.
